SIP Grant Application: Required Documents

To be considered for a SIP Grant, each student organization must submit a complete application that includes an agenda and a detailed budget sheet. These documents are essential for outlining the anticipated expenses and activities of your outreach event. These documents allow our team to have a better understanding of your organization's planned activities. A budget sheet template can be found below:

SIP Grant Application: Guidelines

These SIP Grant guidelines will help you craft a successful application.

  1. Eligibility: Funds must be used for an event or activity, not for individuals. The cost per student should be between $15 and $30.
  2. Mission Alignment: Your event must align with the SIP mission of promoting higher education and conducting outreach to K-12 and community college students.
  3. Funding Priorities: We prioritize proposals for events you are hosting that align with our mission. We are unable to approve funds for external events or trips, as their costs are typically too high.
  4. Restrictions: Funds cannot be used to purchase technology for a department or for individuals.
  5. Deadlines & Limits: The maximum request is $10,000. Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) can apply once per quarter. The review process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
